Rolls both ways Usually front to back first
Starting to sit, first supported, then may be able to sit on their own using hands for support
Babbling and making noises
Accepts weight through legs in supported standing
Plays with feet when on their back
Reaches for toys during tummy time
Act early and talk to your healthcare provider if:
Sits with a rounded back
Poor head control and unable to lift head
Difficulty bringing arms forward to reach out
Arches back and stiffens legs when pulling to a sit
Holds arms back and has stiff legs in a supported stand
Developmental Milestones for 6-9months
Sitting without support and reaching for toys without falling
Starting to get in crawling positions and crawling/commando moving
Standing with holding onto objects/parents hands
Using hands to eat
Moving from laying to sitting
Tracks objects as they move and starts to control small objects with pincer grasp
Extended arm play on tummy
Act early and talk to your healthcare provider if:
Uses one hand predominately
Rounded back when sitting, inability to straighten back
Poor use of arms in sitting
Difficulty crawling
Uses only one side of the body to move
Cannot take weight on legs
Does not transfer toys from one hand to the other
